BRAC Otithi tourism and tour booking website

Client

BRAC — Otithi Tourism & E-Commerce Platform.

Challenge

Support multi-city tour package bookings, dynamic itinerary customization, inventory management, and reliable payment processing across multiple international card networks and local payment gateways.

Constraints

Live commercial transaction traffic, zero tolerance for double bookings or payment reconciliation discrepancies, and multi-gateway webhook synchronization.

Approach

  • Unified Payment Layer — Integrated Cybersource and PortPOS with provider abstraction for seamless checkout.
  • Idempotency & Webhooks — Server-to-server webhook confirmation and idempotency keys to eliminate double-charging on network retries.
  • Dynamic Booking Engine — Built on Laravel, Tailwind CSS, and MySQL to handle package scheduling and seat allocations.

Outcome

100+ transactions processed daily in production with ~99% uptime on the booking and payment API layer.
